90 jobs lost as Home Delivery Solutions Ltd (HDS) collapses into administration
We are sorry to now read reports that the Chesterfield-based delivery firm, Home Delivery Solutions Ltd (HDS), has collapsed into administration and ceased trading, resulting in the loss of 90 jobs. This comes following three notices of intention to appoint administrators.
Unfortunately, it is common for administrators to make immediate redundancies, without prior warning or any consultation process. A failure to follow a consultation process could lead to employees being able to claim compensation from an Employment Tribunal of up to 90 days’ pay. Such a claim could be pursued if:
- 20 or more people were made redundant at the same workplace; and
- There was no information and consultation process, or it wasn’t carried out correctly prior to making redundancies.
