Morrish Team Takes to the Streets
Members of the our team have been out in Leeds city centre donating items to people experiencing homelessness ahead of Christmas.
The annual initiative is organised by Emma Thompson from the Morrish support team. Emma gives her own time to collect donations from staff of warm clothing, blankets and other items to be handed out in the days leading up to Christmas.
This year, Emma was accompanied by Emily Meredith and her daughters, following an unprecedented amount of donations. The items were wrapped into parcels and taken out by the team on Wednesday 21 December, along with bags of food and drink.
Emma said: “It never fails to surprise me just how generous the team are here at Morrish. Every year, we receive more and more donations – and this year I needed an extra hand with taking them out to the people that need them most! We hope that it goes in some way to help out the people who are experiencing homelessness in Leeds city centre and that they know that people are willing to help.”
David Sorensen, Managing Partner added: “We’re so proud of Emma’s efforts each year and it is wonderful to see so many donations from the Morrish team. This is a personal initiative which Emma carries out in her own time so we’re pleased to be able to support her.”
