Morrish Solicitors receives Cyber Essentials Plus certification
We are pleased to announce that we have once again achieved Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation.
Cyber Essentials is a government-backed scheme which is recommended for all law firms by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Certification shows that we have the necessary processes and procedures in place to protect our firm and our clients from cyber-related crime and data breaches.
We have already attained the Cyber Essentials accreditation; however, Cyber Essentials Plus is a more advanced level of certification within the scheme.
There are five key controls required for Cyber Essentials:
- Firewalls
- Secure configuration
- Use of access control
- Malware protection
- Patch management
In addition to these, the firm also had to undergo a more rigorous assessment of our cyber security measures by an independent third-party.

“Cyber-crime and attacks are becoming more and more prevalent. The legal industry is particularly susceptible to attacks, due to the large volume of data and personal information it handles on behalf of clients.
It is important therefore that we are able to prove that our firm meets and exceeds the requirements needed to achieve this level of certification — giving our clients confidence that the security of their information is our top priority.”
