Morrish Solicitors Seeking Justice 4U
Phones 4U Limited entered into administration on 16 September 2014, following the loss of lucrative contracts with O2, Vodafone and EE. At the time, Phones 4U Limited, operated out of nearly 600 stand-alone stores, 161 concessions located within Dixons Carphone outlets and a head office/central call centre in Newcastle-Under-Lyme.
Mass redundancies then took place in the days and weeks that followed, resulting in over 2,500 employees losing their jobs with, we allege, little or no proper warning or prior consultation.
Morrish Solicitors LLP have therefore commenced Protective Award claims in the Employment Tribunal for over two hundred former employees of Phones 4U Limited, citing what appears to be the flagrant disregard for the statutory obligation on the company/the administrators to inform and consult the workforce at the point that mass redundancies were proposed. It is hoped that the outcome of the claims will be awards of compensation of 90 days gross pay, per affected former employee of the business.
