New Employment Solicitor Appointed
New Employment Solicitor Joins Our Team in Leeds
Morrish Solicitors are pleased to have appointed Amy Sadler as an Employment Solicitor and the newest member of our Employment Department. Based in our ever-growing Leeds head office, Amy joined the team from Langleys Solicitors in York.
Amy studied Law at Lancaster University, which involved a year abroad in Prague studying International Law and obtained her degree in 2014. Whilst completing her LPC and Masters degree in Legal Practice at Northumbria University, Amy started her training contract at Macks Solicitors in Teeside in 2015.
Since qualifying as a Solicitor in 2017, Amy has specialised in Employment Law and previously worked at Langleys Solicitors in York advising Employers with their matters. However, Amy is truly passionate about advising employees, which is why she joined the team at Morrish Solicitors in May this year.
We are delighted for Amy to have joined our Employment Department. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience to complement our team of expert Employment Solicitors. As an Employment Solicitor, Amy has worked on a variety of Employment Law matters and has a keen interest in discrimination claims specifically pregnancy and age-related discrimination claims with a history of successful results for her clients.
Amy said, “It was quite daunting to start a new job during the middle of the coronavirus lockdown, but the team have been amazing. Before I started, I was involved in a virtual team meeting which was a great opportunity to meet everyone albeit virtually. Also, someone was always at the end of the phone to offer me any support. With the phased return to work I am now meeting people face to face (socially distanced of course) as it was an odd experience to start a new job from home. However, the team were so welcoming and friendly I instantly felt at home with the team and I am very happy to be here. The whole firm were doing regular quizzes, it was a great way for everyone to come together during unprecedented times.”
David Sorensen, Managing Partner and Head of Employment Law at Morrish Solicitors said, “We’re delighted to welcome Amy to our growing, specialist employment team. She’ll be a key part of our expansion by acting for private individuals and also for over twenty of the UK’s best-known associations and trade unions, and their members. She is already making a great impression.”
