Total Glass Ltd Protective Award Claim
The Merseyside based glazing firm suffered heavy losses and faced financial problems as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite efforts to recapitalise the business, it ceased trading at the end of September making approximately 170 employees redundant without consultation.
Total Glass Ltd Redundancies
Unfortunately, approximately 170 Total Glass Ltd employees are facing redundancy because the firm has fallen into administration.
Redundancy is a complex area of law and it is often distressing for those involved. It’s important you understand your rights and what you may be entitled to.
When 20 or more employees are being made redundant from 1 workplace, it is a legal requirement to arrange a minimum period of consultation with employee representatives before making those employees redundant. A failure to do so can make employees eligible to bring a protective award claim.
For more information please read our article on what is a protective award and am I entitled to one.
