Nearly 100 jobs lost as administrators are appointed to businesses within Tenet Group

We are sorry to read reports that administrators have been appointed to wind down some businesses within Leeds-headquartered financial group, Tenet Group. This has resulted in the loss of 95 jobs on Wednesday 5 June.

Ed Boyle, Howard Smith and Rob Spence of Interpath Ltd were appointed as joint administrators of Tenet Group Ltd (TGL) and Ed Boyle and Rob Spence were appointed as joint administrators of the group’s subsidiary companies Tenet Ltd (TL), TenetConnect Ltd (TCL) and TenetConnect Services Ltd (TCSL) by the relevant companies’ directors.

Unfortunately, it is common for administrators to make immediate redundancies, without prior warning or any consultation process. A failure to follow a consultation process could lead to employees being able to claim compensation from an Employment Tribunal of up to 90 days’ pay. Such a claim could be pursued if:

  • 20 or more people were made redundant at the same workplace; and
  • There was no information and consultation process, or it wasn’t carried out correctly prior to making redundancies.

If you have been made redundant and need advice, contact our employment team confidentially now for more information.

There are strict Tribunal deadlines within which to pursue these claims, so you mustn’t delay if you believe you may be affected.
