NQ Solicitor, Wills & Estates Team

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full-time NQ Solicitor to join our well-established law firm at our office in Pudsey on the outskirts of Leeds. You will also have the opportunity to work in our Leeds city centre and Yeadon offices. We offer flexible and agile working, together with a positive work-life balance.

With a longstanding and loyal client base, the private client team cover the broad remit of matters including Wills, Trusts, Probate, Court of Protection matters and Powers of Attorney.
The candidate
We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious person who will enjoy a varied workload. You will be joining a highly respected team offering excellent quality work and a rewarding career.
The successful candidate will be newly qualified and should have an interest in and ideally have some experience in Private Client work. They will also be expected to play a key role in developing and building the elderly client offering through networking and business development.
In return you will enjoy a full and varied caseload including Wills, Probate and Powers of Attorney matters. You will also receive valuable mentorship, support and supervision to aid your professional development and have the opportunity to undertake paid study for the STEP exams .
The role
The role will involve a broad range of Private Client work, specifically in matters relating to older and vulnerable clients, particularly in connection with the management of their financial affairs, as well as the preparation of Wills and Trusts for all types of clients. Tasks will include:
- With supervision, manage a caseload of wills and estate cases.
- Assist clients with the full range of private client matters, including Wills, Powers of Attorney, Administration of Estates, Court of Protection and Trusts.
- Provide legal advice and support to clients.
- Work closely with members of the team and receive valuable mentorship and supervision to support your professional development.
- Maintain an empathetic and understanding manner when dealing with elderly or vulnerable clients.
- Deliver exceptional client care to the firm’s longstanding and loyal client base.
- Assist senior fee earners on more complex cases as part of professional development.
- Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations.
