Over 40 jobs lost as Greenshires Group Ltd collapses into administration
We are sorry to read reports that the Leicester-based print and packaging firm, Greenshires Group Ltd, has collapsed into administration resulting in job losses. This comes following a management buy-out deal that fell apart at the last minute, with FRP Advisory being called in to act as administrators. We have now been contacted by former employees, who have informed us that 48 redundancies were made.
Unfortunately, it is common for administrators to make immediate redundancies, without prior warning or any consultation process. A failure to follow a consultation process could lead to employees being able to claim compensation from an Employment Tribunal of up to 90 days’ pay. Such a claim could be pursued if:
- 20 or more people were made redundant at the same workplace; and
- There was no information and consultation process, or it wasn’t carried out correctly prior to making redundancies.
