Career:

I joined Morrish in September 2023. Prior to this, I was a student at New College Pontefract, studying A Level Law, History and English Literature. Alongside my studies, I also had two part time jobs, working at a busy city centre tea room as well as for the clothes retailer Next.

I knew I wanted to pursue a career in law prior to beginning sixth form, and studying the subject at A Level furthered this passion. I enjoyed learning about negligence and the law of tort, which definitely fits in well with my current role in personal injury.

My current role involves assisting the clinical negligence team on a range of cases. This includes contacting clients or external organisations and drafting legal documents.

Achievements:

One achievement I am really proud of was completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in June 2023. My family and I completed this together to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, in memory of my Grandad who sadly passed away from cancer at a young age. Whilst I really enjoy long distance walking, I had never completed a challenge as big as this, and it required strong will and determination.

Other interests:

Alongside my interest in walking, I also really enjoy to visit historical sites. This is something I developed as a child as I was lucky enough to visit London every year to visit my extended family. As of recently, I have begun to develop my passion, by travelling to explore European history.
