What is a Public Liability Claim?

A public liability claim is a type of personal injury claim usually made by members of the public injured in accidents in a public place (e.g., park, train station, supermarket, shopping centre, restaurant etc).

The person, company or local authority responsible for the public place must ensure it is maintained to a safe standard for members of the public to use.
