Family Dispute Resolution Week
Resolution’s third Family Dispute Resolution week takes place this week. This awareness-raising week aims to highlight the alternatives to court for separating couples and their families.
The national body for family lawyers, Resolution, has 6,500 members who are family lawyers and other professionals committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes. Members follow a Code of Practice that promotes a non-confrontational approach to family problems and encourage solutions that consider the needs of the whole family. The principles of the code are widely recognised and have been adopted by the Law Society as recommended good practice for all family lawyers. The code requires lawyers to deal with each other in a civilised way and to encourage their clients to put their differences aside and reach fair agreements focusing on the needs of any children involved.
Our Family Solicitor Noelle Heath is a member of Resolution. Noelle is also a trained Mediator.
In support of Family Dispute Resolution Week, we will be offering new clients a free and confidential initial advice meeting throughout the week, where Noelle will discuss the various options available to you at this time.
